Emerging Trends in Nanomechanics: Experimental, Computational and Machine Learning Approaches

We are pleased to invite you to the USACM Workshop on Emerging Trends in Nanomechanics: Computational, Machine Learning, and Experimental Approaches, which will be held at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from TBD.

This workshop will explore various topics on the mechanics and physics at the nanoscale, focusing on data-driven, computational, and experimental techniques. Key themes include:

1. Machine learning & uncertainty quantification in computational materials science

2. Mechanics and physics of low-dimensional materials

3. Mechanics of defects and interfaces

4. Coarse graining across scales

5. Multiscale design of materials and inverse problems

The event will feature invited talks from leading experts and poster presentations by students and postdoctoral researchers.

A limited number of travel support awards will be available for selected poster presenters who are students, postdocs, or junior faculty. Recipients will be notified after the review process.
